Villa Montaña is located just around the curve from Beau’s other venture, The OASIS, Sunset Capital of Texas, which is considered the largest outdoor restaurant in Texas, and probably the largest in the country. Guests enjoy spectacular views, both day and night, from private party rooms and multi-level decks 450 feet above Lake Travis. Folks come with a hearty appetite for Tex-Mex, seafood, steaks and other classics.
In 1973, Beau opened his first restaurant, The Brownstone, one of Houston’s most enchanting venues for over 35 years. The popularity of The Brownstone’s décor led Beau to open The Brownstone Gallery, featuring antiques, furnishings and art in the heart of Houston’s Upper Kirby District. Continuing his entrepreneurial spirit, The OASIS became a reality in 1982. The Treasury in Austin, a three-story gallery like no other in the hill country featuring art, antiques, home, office and ranch furnishings, opened in 2004.
Always one to stay abreast of changing trends, Beau closed The Brownstone Restaurant in 2008, and re-opened as Brownstone Co-Op Antique Center. Upstairs is Red Room, another of Beau’s interests, which features New York Nightlife (Sips & Sounds) – Texas Style.
